This page explains what data this website collects, why, and what choices you have. It applies to koreadecoded.com and all pages on it.

The short version

This site does not ask you to create an account, does not run a newsletter, and does not sell anything. It collects no names, addresses, or payment details. The only data involved comes from (a) anonymous traffic measurement and (b) third-party advertising, both described below.

Information collected automatically

Like nearly all websites, this site's hosting provider records standard technical information when a page is requested — IP address, browser type and version, operating system, referring page, and the time of the request. This is used for security and to keep the site running. It is not used to identify individual readers.

Analytics

This site may use Google Analytics to understand which guides are read and how people arrive here. Analytics reports are aggregated — page views, approximate country, device type. IP addresses are anonymised. No analytics data is used to identify you personally.

Data retention

Server logs are retained for a short period for security purposes. Analytics data is retained according to Google's default retention settings. Email correspondence is deleted once resolved.

If this policy changes, the "last updated" date at the top of the page will change with it. Material changes will be noted on the site.
